The Business: Highpoint Access & Rescue provides inspection, repair, and maintenance services to a range of industries including thermal power stations, offshore terminals, mining, minerals processing plants, chemical plants, communication structures, and civil infrastructure.
Our work is located in areas that are not normally accessible and require specialized access systems and techniques. Accessing work locations usually requires a combination of methods such as: rope access systems, remote-operated rope positioning systems, fall protection systems, elevated working platforms, scissor lifts, swing stages, man boxes, scaffolding, and personnel hoists. The work can also be within confined spaces, on steep slopes, over water, above other personnel or traffic, in remote locations, within explosives facilities, or within security-controlled zones.
The Role: Highpoint Access Technicians have designations based on qualifications and the application of skills, knowledge, and experience.
Specialist (highest level) The Role of the Highpoint Access Technician is in two primary areas: Access and Rescue Advanced rope rigging Fall protection systems Swing stage operation and installation Personnel hoist (HRWL HP) Safe work at height Vertical rescue Work in confined spaces Confined space rescue 2.
