High Voltage Electrical Estimator Working from a mixture of the company's Swindon office and working from home, the successful candidate must possess demonstrable experience and technical expertise from within the HV power, utilities and/or critical national electrical infrastructure sectors up to 132kV. Overview Due to continued expansion and the commitment to sustained and profitable growth, our client now wishes to appoint a highly motivated and industry experienced Electrical Estimator for their UK wide HV power business. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the main purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for managing the development and production of competitive tenders and estimates for multiple contracts, frameworks, or singular projects, ensuring maximum opportunity and minimum risk, and that clients and partners receive a high-quality service on time and to challenging budget requirements. The successful candidate will also contribute to other pre-construction activities, supporting successful project acquisition and timely handover to operations. This role allows you the opportunity to tender new business across the UK with a key focus on building long-term relationships with new and existing customers, whilst overseeing all aspects of the quotation and tendering process. The Role You will be preparing tenders up to 132kV voltage. You will provide quotations and tenders for new connection works and turnkey projects utilizing Sinewave's in-house teams and supply chain. You will build and manage key relationships with new and existing customers, including top-level review with the clients, managing the flow of enquiries. You will work with manufacturers to develop partnerships for turnkey solutions. You will follow up quotations and share feedback with the tendering and sales team for unsuccessful quotations. You will evaluate supplier and subcontract returns to ensure compliance with the tender specifications/documentation. You will draft commentary regarding exclusions and clarifications associated with the return offer. The Person When you join, you will go through our client's best in class induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop further through their in-house training academy. You will possess a proven track record of: Building strong and collaborative relationships with both internal and external clients and supplier counterparts. Establishing key aspects associated with client requirements, providing quotations, liaising with internal departments, and submitting final overview of project ability to the client. Accurately undertaking any necessary take-offs of drawings and schedules and performing data entry into the estimating software selected by the business. Working with business systems to follow company processes and maintain data integrity. A Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points). A qualification in engineering or equivalent experience. Experience in creating technical drawings using AutoCAD or Google Earth. Market knowledge and experience within the electrical distribution sector both HV and LV. Experience of tendering for O&M contracts and private networks. Experience of establishing strategic and operational partnerships. Wide experience of handling complex and sensitive business/commercial information. Experience in delivering successful tenders.
