Hofmann Engineering Bendigo is amongst the largest and most progressive specialist heavy equipment manufacturers in Australia. The company services customers ranging from the world's largest resource and mining companies, through to leaders in international aerospace, transport (rail), energy (wind, hydro & solar) and defence technology. Hofmann Engineering currently has operations within Australia in Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria as well as Chile and Peru with growth and expansion plans for the future. We are looking for a full-time High Precision Heavy Turner to run our VDF lathe. At 35m in length this is one of the largest lathes in the Southern Hemisphere. This lathe has strong demand in the power and defence sectors and we are seeking an experienced professional turner to join our team.
Hofmann Engineering expanded into Bendigo 12 years ago and is on a journey to continually update and transform the historical 'Shed 10' to a modern machine shop. This heritage leads to us having new and old machines side by side. Our machines include a 15m x 7m Innocenti floor borer, a manual 9m vertical Schiess from the 1920's a new stage of the art Uniport 6000 high speed gantry mill and a 35m VDF lathe.
We are a 'jobbing shop' and are seeking CNC machinist with an interest to work on a continually changing stream of medium to heavy jobs.
