About the opportunity : We are seeking an experienced High-Performance Co-ordinator to join our Sports and Activities team at John Paul College commencing in January 2025. This permanent full-time role will be responsible for providing program development, strength and conditioning instruction and supervision to students at the College with particular focus on the High-Performance Academy, Sports Academy and general gym programs.
These engagements may be with individual athletes or in athlete groups and will require the successful applicant to ensure facility operational requirements are adhered to, including delivery of S&C sessions, maintenance and safety checks of equipment, administration support and ensuring the centre is immaculately presented at all times.
Applicants must be able to develop strategic and inclusive learning environments and inspire and motivate students to continue with health and personal development journeys.
About you : The High-Performance Co-ordinator will maintain a spirit and character that is supportive and recognises the worth of each student as an individual in accordance with the College Ethos. The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role within the sport, education, health, or fitness sector with high quality interpersonal and communication skills. They will be flexible in their availability to support the extensive range of sports and fitness at the College and will also have:
Demonstrated sport and/or fitness industry experience including commercial facility or program.Strong customer service, presentation, and facilitation skills, including good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage time in relation to group/athlete training schedules.Experience in supervising school programs, training sessions & testing.Ability to work in a collegial, professional manner and be a member of a cross-functional team with the ability to communicate among a diverse range of facility users.Good competency in the use of computer applications and programs.Current CPR and First-Aid certificate.Experience in workplace health and safety procedures, specifically in a sports training facility environment.In accordance with current Government requirements and mandates, the successful candidate must also hold a current positive Blue Card for working with children prior to and for the duration of employment.
