Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings as overtime, 47.5 hours per week

I'm currently working with and on behalf of my client to secure qualified, highly skilled, and motivated HGV Technicians for their workshop in the Tameside area.
The company is a fleet management enterprise that has been in operation for over 20 years and prides itself on delivering the very best customer service to all their customers.
They are well respected not only in the local area but also across the UK and offer a wide range of maintenance solutions for many makes and models up to 44 tonne.
The Role:Day shift Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week, Salary £45,000
08:00 - 18:00
Overtime available
Standby and call-out fees additional to these rates.
We are looking for qualified and time-served HGV Technicians who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics.
You can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded.
A skills shortage can be trained by way of upskilling.
What cannot be trained, however, is the right attitude and the desire to give your clients a first-class service.
Responsibilities:Carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet.Working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV's) of varying makes and models, tractor, and trailer units.Routine (and preventative) maintenance.MOT preparation.Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards.6 (or 8) weekly inspections.Correction of running defects.Chassis and fabrication work.Hydraulics and pneumatics.Improvement of vehicle standards.Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections.Requirements:Ideally, you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable, as would an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
