In this role, you will oversee daily operations including circulation in a range of areas, manage staff, ensure top-tier customer service, and implement innovative solutions for a dynamic library experience.
Play a key role in shaping the future of library services while working in a collaborative, community-driven team!
What your day will look like: Assist with the coordination of effective daily operations of the Hervey Bay Library in relation to circulation and customer services areas.
Monitor the adequacy of circulation Services resources including equipment.
Exercise initiative and judgement on customer requests.
Oversee the operational activities of circulation library staff and volunteers at the Hervey Bay Library including providing expert advice In consultation with the Hervey Bay Librarian develop and implement regular staff training activities Manage the circulation rostering system for staff at Hervey Bay Library and arranging replacement staff on short notice.

What you'll need for success: Current Class C Drivers Licence Working with Children Blue Card, or willing to obtain prior to commencement Demonstrated experience in a public library environment, with particular emphasis on library circulation management, staff supervision and training activities, along with implementing exceptional customer service techniques.
