The purpose of the role is to contribute to the sound statutory management of Tasmania's built heritage, to achieve the proper management and protection of those places that are entered in the Tasmanian Heritage Register.

Hours per fortnight 73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Duties The purpose of the role is to contribute to the sound statutory management of Tasmania's built heritage, to achieve the proper management and protection of those places that are entered in the Tasmanian Heritage Register. The role involves providing conservation advice for the ongoing care of these heritage places, assessment advice on works and development proposals, and decision-making in statutory processes to ensure the effective implementation of the Historic Cultural Heritage Act 1995.
A Bachelor's Degree in a discipline relevant to archaeology, architecture, building surveying, engineering, land use planning or historic cultural heritage management, relevant to the professional duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university.
