Reporting to the General Manager at Two Wells, the Production Manager (Packhouse) oversees the quality, safety, efficiency, and sustainability of production and packing operations at its state-of-the-art Two Wells facility.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee packhouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, high productivity, quality, and safety.
Provide effective leadership and management of the production, scheduling, and quality assurance teams.
Lead daily packhouse activities, including staffing, scheduling, training of staff, and leadership of safety culture.
Ensure high standards of quality assurance and control to maintain product excellence.
Develop, monitor, and analyse production metrics, integrating LEAN principles for process and product improvement and efficiency.
Demonstrate positive and engaging leadership to motivate staff to achieve goals and KPIs.
Collaborate with senior leaders and other departments, and engage with customers, third-party growers, contractors, and transport companies to optimise grower, supply chain, logistics, and customer outcomes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP, and conduct incident investigations.
Applications are encouraged from commercially astute FMCG leaders with relevant operational management experience gained in a production, manufacturing, or packaging environment.
Experience in fresh or processed food packaging or similar manufacturing environments will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
You will demonstrate a proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives, ideally with an understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles.
Most importantly, you will bring highly effective team and operational leadership skills, well-developed communication and planning abilities, experience with HACCP and safety standards, and the personal qualities of humility, calmness, respect, collaboration, and agility.
