About the program AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems.
AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
Your responsibilities will include: As the Helpdesk Support Administrator, you will provide first level technical and customer support to the user and project teams on AIR6500.
Some key responsibilities include; Support the actioning of tickets on Help Desk queues ensuring completion within SLAs Perform 1st and 2nd level support for Windows and Linux virtualised desktop environments Perform 1 st level support for Applications, Windows and Linux Servers, Networking, Storage, Backups, and UPS Troubleshoot and problem resolution on physical and virtual ICT environments Daily monitoring of backup activities, daily tape changes Daily monitoring of infrastructure management tools About you: To be successful in the role you will have strong experience in a Help Desk or Systems/Administration position, along with; Well-developed troubleshooting and administration skills Substantial experience working in an Agile/DevSecOps project environment in Atlassian Jira and Confluence Good working experience with account and group management using Active Directory Strong understanding of ICT Security concepts as it applies to Classified Defence Environments (as per ISM, Essential 8, PSPF, DSPF, Industry and Vendor Best Practices) The ability to follow and provide updates to documented processes and work instructions Special Requirements: Applicants must hold an active NV1 clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
