In this leadership role, you will:
Engage and partner with leaders across the business to drive financial performance and success across multiple entities. Develop financial strategies to ensure long-term sustainability and growth for Hedweld and its related entities. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance for Australian and US operations. Manage day-to-day accounting and financial control for the business ensuring strategic decisions are informed. Lead and mentor the Finance Team, driving professional development and excellence. Provide financial insights to senior management to support data-driven decisions and strategic initiatives. The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Finance Manager plays a crucial role in applying accounting principles to analyse financial data and prepare comprehensive financial reports for the Hedweld Group of Companies. The primary objective of this role is to support the achievement of the Hedweld Group's strategic business goals and objectives by ensuring accurate financial analysis and reporting that drive informed decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the Group to lead change, ensure alignment with organisational objectives, and drive continuous business improvement. Accountable for preparing budgets and forecasts. Drive the month end process from end-to-end, including all balance sheet reconciliations. Prepares monthly reports summarising sales, profits, and performance. Ensure accuracy and detail in all financial information provided to all internal and external stakeholders with a focus on compliance, key drivers and variance analysis. Oversees accounts receivable/payable, ensuring accurate processing. Oversees bank reconciliations and prepares quarterly BAS. Manages payroll functions, including PAYG, payroll tax, and superannuation. Prepares foreign currency transactions and monitors cash flow. Provides financial insights to support business decisions and performance. Consults with executives and staff to implement goals and policies. Analyses financials and KPIs to identify cost-cutting and performance improvements. What you can offer Hedweld:
Finance related degree and a Professional Qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent). At least 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, with a strong background in business partnering, forecasting, and budgeting. Experience in the Engineering and Manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Outstanding communication skills to all levels of the organisation. Strong analytical skills. Highly proficient skills in data analysis and interpretation, including the use of accounting systems, ERP (Oracle NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. What Hedweld can offer you:
