About The RoleWe're looking for a skilled and trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic/Plant Technician to join our team on a permanent full-time basis in Geelong, Melbourne.
In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of servicing, repairing, and maintaining our specialized fleet vehicles.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring peak performance and longevity of our fleet, directly contributing to the seamless operation of our organization.
Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, your key responsibilities will include:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on our heavy diesel vehicles.Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify faults in vehicle systems.Implement and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimise breakdowns and maximise vehicle reliability.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.Complete works in an efficient and timely manner for both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.Promote a safe work environment by following proper safety protocols and using appropriate PPE.This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading sustainable waste management and recycling company with operations across Australia and New Zealand.
About YouTo be successful for this role, you will have:
Mechanical trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is essential.Previous experience working on Vac Tricks highly desirable.Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with expertise in repairing and maintaining heavy diesel-powered vehicles, previous Volvo experience highly desirable.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.The ability to work to schedules with strong time management.Be prepared to work overtime.White Card and unrestricted HR licence highly regarded.Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and national police clearance.What We OfferTDG Environmental values its employees and recognizes the importance of benefits.
