The Position Our modern and busy Dandenong workshop is a hive of activity, and we are currently looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This is a dynamic work environment offering opportunity for development, training and career progression. You will work with a diverse team of highly qualified mechanics who are some of the best in the business.
Our Heavy Vehicle Mechanics perform tasks including:
Conducting scheduled and general services Assisting with on road vehicle breakdowns Opportunity to work on more complex engine repairs Ensuring we maintain a safe and reliable fleet Fulfilling preventative maintenance schedules Diagnosing mechanical faults and undertaking repairs to our buses Test driving vehicles to diagnose malfunctions Annual & routine safety inspections Recording work orders in our transport management system Essential Criteria Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent Trade Qualification) Completion of a 4 year apprenticeship Experience working with heavy vehicles such as trucks or buses Ability to work in a team environment Current MR or HR licence (not essential) Ability to follow instructions A high regard for safety Ability to meet deadlines and work to timeframes If you are ready for a change, want to contribute to your local community, and create opportunity to expand your skillset to electrical vehicles, Ventura Dandenong workshop is the right move for you.
