An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Truck Mechanic to join the team based in Bunbury and remote mine sites as required.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake mechanical repairs on our range of fleet but not limited to:
Heavy Haulage trailersFuel TrucksService TrucksWater TrucksLight VehiclesThe successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out maintenance on our fleet to the highest standard.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Effectively diagnose and find faults in the mechanical assessment of all aspects of the HV truck fleet and trailersGeneral servicing of trucks and trailersFit out of new vehiclesRepairs to driveline components, underbody, brakes, bearings and suspensionPart allocation to service reportsCarrying out a diverse range of mechanical repairsPossible field service workKey Attributes & Qualifications: Strong commitment to health and safety in the workplaceCurrent Australian drivers' licence – HR DesirableA proactive time manager able to be self-sufficient with a focus on results-based outcomesA positive approach to challenge & change with the ability to be agile and adaptableExcellent diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skillsThe ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated with the ability to work autonomously with high attention to detailThe ability to mentor and develop Apprentices on your teamWillingness to work away when required at remote locationsThe ability to pass a pre-employment medical and provide a National Police CheckBenefits working at Axis Hire: Permanent PositionMonday to Friday – with occasional weekends as requiredDiverse range of vehicles and plant to work onOpportunity to further develop and upskill into different fields of maintenanceApplicants must have Australian residency to be considered for this role.
