Role Overview:
Position: Labourer/Machine Operator Reporting to Structures Ganger
Responsibilities:
Maintenance of rail infrastructure Renewal of bridges, culverts, signal structures, signage, platforms Vegetation renewal and other miscellaneous structures
About You:
Contribute to a safe workplace environment where risks are identified, understood, and managed Cleaning and general maintenance ensuring services are completed for truck and other plant equipment Operate Excavators and Heavy Plant machinery in construction, civil, or rail projects.
Collaborate effectively within a small, established team.
Travel occasionally to different regions as required.
Work alternate shifts when necessary.
Assist the Ganger with leadership tasks and step up when needed.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following:
Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure (highly desirable) A zero harm safety approach is essential Reliable and the ability to work as part of a diverse team Loader / Backhoe licences may be required and advantageous Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
