Accurate and Holistic Lift Planning: Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Lift Engineer to join our team.
This individual contributor role involves designing and executing comprehensive lift plans, utilising CAD drawings, and ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
The Heavy Lift Engineer will work closely with the Engineering Manager and other team members to develop and optimise lifting solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Assess and select appropriate cranes using manufacturers' specifications.Develop optimal construction sequences considering rigging gear, attachments, financial costs, and constraints.Conduct site visits and communicate effectively with stakeholders.Present detailed lift concepts and ensure the accuracy of lift plans.Lift Creation: Design and assess crane capabilities using KranXpert.Tailor lift plans to meet specific client requirements and complete necessary calculations.Validate lift plans with internal stakeholders to ensure feasibility and practicality.Maintain a 95% accuracy rate for approved plans.Lift Plan Delivery: Seek approval from the Project Engineer and manage the follow-up process.Ensure timely distribution of approved lift plans to stakeholders.Manage and meet project deadlines.Optimising Lift Plan Standards: Produce dynamic blocks of cranes and equipment.Update and maintain the crane library.Collaborate with lead riggers and the Operations Team to understand and implement best practices.CAD Drafting: Produce relevant and accurate CAD drawings.Incorporate customer requirements and illustrate crane methodologies effectively.Research and Efficiency: Stay updated with new technologies and practices in AutoCAD.Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in CAD drawings.Management of Lifting Solutions: Ensure successful handover and execution of lifting solutions.Liaise with Lead Rigger and conduct site visits as needed.Manage bookings and handovers accurately.Systemisation: Document and review processes using Asana and SystemHUB.Ensure all job roles and tasks are systemised for clarity and continuity.Required Skills and Qualifications: At least 3 years of work experience as a Heavy Lift EngineerBachelor's degree in engineering is a must.Proficiency in understanding construction drawings, crane, and construction knowledge.Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills.Familiarity with Australian Standards.High standard of written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work to deadlines with resilience.Proficient in AutoCAD and KranXpert.Knowledge of SystemHUB and Asana for documenting systems.Job Type: Full-time
