DAC Enterprises is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and qualified full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic to join their Workshop Team based in Palmerston. The successful candidate is mainly responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and plant and undertake diagnostic tests on vehicles and maintaining detailed records of the vehicles serviced.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair mechanical components on a wide variety of vehicles and plants for petrol and diesel enginesSchedule regular preventative machine maintenance, repairs and servicing, including diagnosisOverhaul, and rebuild diesel enginesCompile high-quality field service and job reportsProvide technical assistance when requiredProactively maintaining a safe and healthy workshop environment and support an ongoing improvement cultureQualificationsTrade qualification (Diesel Mechanic) or a diploma in automotive engineeringValid driver's licenceAptitude for mathematics and science3-5 years of extensive experience in the maintenance of heavy vehicles/machineryComputer literateExperience in understanding and interpreting fault code data, electric fault finding, and machine informationExperience working with Heavy Earthmoving equipment is essential.Customer-focusedGood attention to detailHighly organisedA remuneration package between $70,000 to $90,000 per annum plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.Job type: Full-time, PermanentSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesGovernment Administration
