Piacentini & Son is an earthmoving and mining contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, supply of mobile mining and earthmoving equipment, road haulage and heavy transportation, and rehabilitation services.
We have been awarded a 9-year contract with Kimberley Mineral Sands Thunderbird Operations, a greenfield Mineral Sands mine 140km from Broome.
We are currently seeking an experienced HD Mechanic to join this exciting new project.
These are permanent full-time roles.
Key Responsibilities: Servicing, repairs, diagnosing faults on a variety of different earthmoving & haulage machinery, mainly Excavators, Dozers and LoadersCoaching, mentoring & training apprentices & trade assistance – share your knowledgeMaintaining quality of work performedMaintaining a high degree of safety in line with our policies and proceduresAbility to work autonomously or as part of a team to complete jobs to a high standardReliable & take pride in your quality of workSkills & Experience: Demonstrated experience in more than one of the following - CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi, Komatsu & John Deere equipmentRelevant experience in a mining or civil environment on large scale equipmentAustralian recognised relevant Trade QualificationBe a team player, open & honestHold a flexible approach to business commitmentsEmployment Details: Permanent fulltime employment positionA reputation for looking after our peopleFamily friendly 8:6 roster (8 days / 6 off, 7 nights / 7 off)Broome Residential DIDO or FIFO Perth onlyResidential allowance if you reside in BroomeHighly competitive salaryEmployee assistance programFull uniform suppliedIf you have the relevant skills and qualifications, please apply by clicking APPLY below.
