Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.What You Will Be DoingAn ongoing position exists for an experienced locomotive maintainer at Rio Tinto's 7 Mile Rail Facility. In this role, you will be required toPerform fitting and mechanical maintenance tasks, from overhauls and major engine servicing, bogie overhauls and fitment, to minor level servicing and provisioning. Perform emergency repairs to locomotives. Replaces locomotive and diesel engine components including but not limited to wheels or trucks, traction motors, springs, couplers, draft gear assembly, gear cases, cylinder heads, air compressors, and turbo chargersPerform daily service of locomotive units: fuels, waters, lubrication and oils.Requirements Demonstrated experience in a similar positionRelevant Australian recognised trade certification 2 + years post trade experience in a similar roleManual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)About WorkPacAwarded Large Recruitment Agency of the year by SEEK, WorkPac is Australia's leading, privately owned recruitment provider to the mining, construction, engineering, light industrial and healthcare sectors.
