What You Will Be Doing An ongoing position exists for an experienced Heavy Duty Fitter/Locomotive Maintainer at Rio Tinto's 7 Mile Rail Facility. In this role, you will be required to; Perform fitting and mechanical maintenance tasks, from overhauls and major engine servicing, bogie overhauls and fitment, to minor level servicing and provisioning. Perform emergency repairs to locomotives. Replaces locomotive and diesel engine components including but not limited to wheels or trucks, traction motors, springs, couplers, draft gear assembly, gear cases, cylinder heads, air compressors, and turbo chargers Perform daily service of locomotive units: fuels, waters, lubrication and oils. Requirements 3+ years recent Fitter experience in an Iron Ore Fixed or Mobile Plant Trade Certificate- Diesel Mechanic Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum) CAT 1 Rail Medical Large diesel engine and electric traction system experience About WorkPac WorkPac is Australia's largest privately owned workforce services business with over 1.3 million registered candidates.
