Job Description Job Title: Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic / Fitter Job Status: start asap, full-time, ongoing, temp to perm Work Schedule: 6.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday Pay Rate: $45 - $50/hr Location: Forrestdale, WA Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair a range of civil and earthmoving machinery, plant and vehicles including water trucks, graders, dump trucks, bobcats, excavators, utes, trucks, trailers, telehandlers, road sweepers, rollers, dozers, loaders and backhoes.
Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle automotive, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Disassembling and reassembling components and mechanical systems.
Following safe working practices.
Requirements ABOUT YOU At least 1+ years of experience with a range of civil and earthmoving machinery, plants, and vehicles.
Use of hand and power tools, and workshop equipment.
Experience working in a workshop environment.
Ability to work as part of a team which includes Apprentices, Mechanics, Electricians, Plant Operators and Fabricators.
Reliable, punctual, team player, can work autonomously Able to work in a safe manner.
REQUIREMENTS Australian trade certificate (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology) Australian Citizen (no to visas/sponsorships).
Valid WA C Class Driver's License .
Not somebody who has only done Mining / FIFO.
