Job Description Heavy Diesel Mechanics – Drive your career forward! Make the move to Newhaul and choose your preferred roster - 2&1 or 1&1. We are modernising heavy haulage operations, and with our state-of-the-art workshop due May 2025, what better time to be part of something special.
Working out of our Geraldton workshop, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance & repairs to our Mack & Volvo on-road heavy multi-combination vehicles to enable best possible equipment availability and utilisation.
A day in the workshop could see you:
Maintain equipment in line with manufacturing specifications & statutory requirementsDiagnose faults safely, accurately, & efficientlyReport new issues/faults to managementManage work orders & respond promptly to driver & workshop repair requestsComplete required workshop documentation, paperwork & in-system dataWhat's on Offer New Payrate on offer $66.00 per hour PLUS short-term bonuses PLUS retention bonusesChoice of 1/1 or 2/1 Roster consisting of dayshift and night shift$35,000 of retention bonuses over 5 years of service. $15k within 2 years!Super paid on all hours worked.Quarterly team productivity bonuses.New, fully equipped Field Service Truck.Your own personal air conditioner for use in your work area!Depot Wellness Hub - Massage Chairs, Infrared Sauna, Hyperbaric Chamber, Carol Bike, Yoga Room with more to come.Employee Assistance and Health & Wellbeing programs.Access to employee discounts, with up to 400+ Retail stores.Qualifications Cert III in Heavy Mobile Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical TechnologyValid C Class Driver's (minimum)Competent with service & repairs to heavy duty multi combination trucks & trailersStrong team values & interpersonal skillsTo Apply
