Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience as a Truck MechanicAppropriate and certified trade certificationExperience with Japanese trucks (advantageous)An HR Licence (not essential)Be a quick thinkerEnjoy problem solving and the discovery of solutions to challengesGood time management, organisation, and collaboration capabilityHave a high degree of integrityUnderstanding health and safety regulationsAn ability to build rapport with clientsStrong customer service skillsAn ability to mentor and coachTasks & ResponsibilitiesInspects and repairs vehicles with diesel enginesSafe use of electricity, machinery, and hand toolsCompliance with all rules and standards of the motor vehicle repair shopHandles routine repairs, including oil and tire changesInterprets diagnostic test results accuratelyWrites detailed inspection reports and repair plansTrains and mentors trainees and apprenticesCollaborates with other diesel mechanicsSubmits reports and plans for approval to customersAdvises on repair options and costs to customersAdherence to health and safety regulationsDevelopment and job promotion opportunityExceptional pay, $38/hr - $45/hr, with regular hours.
