In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers, ensuring they meet all safety and roadworthiness standards.

Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with roadworthiness standards.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems using diagnostic tools and computer systems.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components as needed.
Replace worn or defective parts, referring to service manuals and technical specifications.
Conduct scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and adherence to environmental regulations.
Respond to breakdown service calls and promptly repair vehicle defects reported by drivers.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed in line with customer requests and company standards.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
Skills and Qualifications: AQF Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job training and experience in diesel engine and trailer maintenance.
Strong adherence to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Experience: Proven experience in maintaining and repairing trailers is essential.
Previous experience in customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve concerns or issues promptly.
