About Your New Role As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (FIFO ex-Western Australia), your primary responsibility will be to perform mechanical repairs to Mining and Earthworks mobile plant and equipment to ensure they are in optimal condition.
You will work to a high standard, following established company procedures and guidelines.
This role requires strong technical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
The FIFO roster and project duration/s will be confirmed with interested candidates.
Call Michael for more information.  Job Duties:  Complete Mobile Plant Defect Notices in accordance with Breakdowns and Defects procedures Fault-finding and diagnostic work Perform tasks as directed by the Workshop Foreman Notify the Workshop Foreman if parts required for maintenance and repairs are not in stock Record all parts used with part number and applicable unit number Ensure an appropriate service schedule is used when servicing mobile plant.
The service schedule is to be completed in full for each service Fill out the Work Detail sheet accurately, recording inventory items used, part numbers, oils,  Complete client specific job management systems,  recording plant unit numbers and work detail numbers Complete timesheets daily and labour hours worked Supervise and assist with the training of apprentices Ensure mobile plant are safe and roadworthy before leaving the Workshop Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including mobile plant servicing, driver training, and procedures Requirements  PLEASE NOTE.  Only applicants residing in WA with full Australian working rights will be reviewed.
