CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans
Trains and mentors trainees and apprentices
Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
Submits reports and plans for approval to customers
Advises on repair options and costs to customers
Test drives to ensure the vehicle runs correctly
Safely uses electricity, machinery, and hand tools
Complies with rules & standards of the vehicle repair shop
Adheres to health and safety regulations

YOU SHOULD DEMONSTRATE:

At least 3 years' experience as a Truck Mechanic
Appropriate trade certification
Experience with Japanese trucks (advantageous)
A background in diesel mechanics
An HR Licence (not essential)
Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities
Good time management skills
A high degree of integrity
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to build rapport with clients
Strong customer service skills
Ability to mentor and coach
