We are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including trucks, mobile plant machinery, light vehicles and other equipment as required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring that our equipment operates at peak performance.
Machines: Kenworth and Mack Trucks Variety of Mobile Plant Light Vehicles Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required.Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components.Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.Collaborate with team members to complete complex repair projects.Skills/Qualifications: Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)National Police Clearance (validity dependant on site)Australian Recognised Trade CertificateHigh Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable)Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to safety.Fulltime, Permanent Opportunity (Annual Leave & Personal Leave eligible)$5 per hour site bonus, paid fortnightly.
