Your new role We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Combination Truck Driver/Distribution Officer to join our team at our Somersby Warehouse.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of vehicles, including Heavy Combination Vehicles & Vehicle Loading Cranes, to support the delivery and collection of materials.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Safely drive and operate Heavy Combination Vehicles & Vehicle Loading Cranes.Assist with warehouse and distribution tasks, including receipt, warehousing, issuing, and distribution of materials.Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver materials as required.Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and business procedures and regulations.Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to team efficiency.Solve problems and address issues within the scope of your responsibilities.Maintain high standards of work through the use of safe work method statements.Spark our interest! The successful candidate will hold a Class HC Driver's Licence and have a minimum of 2 years HC experience, a National Certificate of Competency for operating Forklifts, and possess a solid understanding of the maximum axle and gross weights for vehicles.
Additionally, a White Card is essential for compliance with safety regulations.
Candidates who hold a Dogman Ticket and a C2 Crane Ticket are highly desirable.
A comprehensive understanding of Load Restraint Guidelines and familiarity with National Heavy Vehicle Transportation Regulations is essential for this role.
You may be required to oversee non-centralised permanent site operations, including developing stock plans and ordering materials as necessary.
