You'll play a vital role in helping our community adapt to extreme heat by raising awareness, creating cooling refuges, and empowering residents to support each other during high temperatures. Your work will make a real difference, particularly for those at high risk, including the elderly, young children, and people living with disabilities.What You'll Do:Coordinate stakeholder engagement and community outreach initiatives.Develop and implement a communications plan to increase awareness of heat-related health risks.Organise school sessions, community workshops, and targeted consultations with local groups.Map and activate "cool spaces" across the Shire to provide relief during heatwaves.What We're Looking For: If you're passionate about community resilience and have a background in community development or engagement, we'd love to meet you!
