Do you want to be part of the Heart Foundation's First Nations team prioritising heart health of First Nations people?
In this role you will play a key part in providing culturally safe, evidence-based heart health education and support for First Nations people in South Australia.
Responsibilities Delivery of the First Nations Heart Health Project South Australia project. Engaging with and fostering strong connections and partnerships that support better health outcomes for First Nations people. Development and delivery of culturally appropriate resources, education and training and targeted communications strategy to promote First Nations resources and training. Preparing and delivering key reports both internally and to the funding body. Working collaboratively across internal functions and with external stakeholders to integrate and translate the latest research, evidence, and insights into programs and activities. Attending key events and meetings to support the Heart Foundation's engagement in First Nations Health to contribute to relevant policy, advocacy, and development activities. Let's talk about you To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience in a health-related field or equivalent. Knowledge or experience in community development or health-related fields, lived experience would be advantageous. Demonstrated program and project planning and management. Understanding of issues, enablers and barriers relating to First Nations Health - experience in working to address equity and promote self-determination for First Nations communities. Demonstrated cultural understanding and sensitivity with experience of working directly with First Nations communities. Experience developing and deliveringtraining andeducation resources for communities or professional audiences. Ability to travel to communities across South Australia, with potential interstate travel. A consultative approach that promotes participation, cross-collaboration, partnership, and innovation and well-developed communication skills. Ready to apply?
