Together, we are dedicated to making a positive impact to people's health and well-being, sense of connection and participation.About the roleAs the Healthy and Active Ageing Officer, you will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for older adults within our community. Your primary focus will be to develop and implement strategies that promote healthy ageing aimed to support accessibility, inclusion and equity for our ageing Glen Eira community.Other responsibilities include:Support the development and implementation of policies and strategic priorities that relate to healthy and active ageing.Support senior citizen club representatives to ensure service excellence is maintained across Council's community facilities and Senior Citizens Centres, used by senior citizens groups.Build capacity of community members and community group leaders in developing skills and awareness to achieve optimal inclusion and accessibility for our ageing community.Provide and support initiatives and activities to promote and celebrate healthy and active ageing.About youWe are looking for a dedicated Healthy and Active Ageing Officer with a strong passion for promoting the health and wellbeing of older adults.
