Make a real difference with your lived experience!

Are you passionate about supporting others through recovery?
We're looking for a compassionate individual with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care to join our team.
Based in Moree, or with a preference for Narrabri, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges, including the effects of domestic, family, and sexual violence.

In this role, your lived experience of managing recovery or supporting someone with mental health challenges will guide your work, enabling you to mentor and support clients on their own journey to wellbeing.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering person-centred, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented care.
From safety planning to group-based psychoeducation, your work will contribute to empowering individuals and families to rebuild and thrive.

What we offer:
A chance to make a tangible impact on individuals and communities.
Supportive, team-based working environment with a focus on collaboration.
Opportunities to engage with culturally diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.
Professional development opportunities and ongoing training.
Your key responsibilities:
Provide compassionate support to individuals and families impacted by trauma, informed by your own lived experience of recovery.
Develop recovery-oriented plans and deliver evidence-based interventions for those experiencing mental health distress, including victims of domestic, family, and sexual violence.
Collaborate with clinicians, carers, and community groups to deliver non-clinical, community-focused wellbeing initiatives.
Conduct risk assessments and safety planning as needed.
Use digital tools to offer Virtual Care services via Telehealth where appropriate.
What you'll bring to the role:
Diploma or Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent qualification.
Experience in strengths-based, recovery-oriented support and trauma-informed care.
Ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and lived experiences.
Organisational and communication skills to deliver both one-on-one and group-based support effectively.
Flexibility to travel and work after hours when required.
Confidence in using Microsoft Office tools and digital health platforms.
Understanding of stigma and discrimination and its impact on mental health recovery.
Knowledge of mental health legislation and the primary healthcare landscape.
Join us at HealthWISE and be part of a team committed to empowering individuals and fostering community resilience!
