The Tasmanian Health Service, John L Grove Rehabilitation Unit is a 20-bed specialised rehabilitation unit situated a short distance away from the main campus of LGH. John L Grove rehabilitation is based on the social model of care where transition to premorbid or alternative lifestyle is a priority when planning, implementing, and evaluating the overall care of a patient.
The multidisciplinary rehabilitation team (MDT) at John L Grove consists of Registered and Enrolled Nurses, operational staff, various allied health professionals, pharmacist, and medical registrar. The Rehabilitation physician guides and directs the medical care of the patients in this unit.
The Role: As part of a multi-disciplinary health care team, the occupant of this position will perform a range of duties involving the provision of support to patients with daily living requirements, undertake some general cleaning of the unit and terminal cleaning post-discharge, assist centre staff with meal/drink distribution, and attend to ordering and replenishing of supplies. The position requires working morning, afternoon, and night shifts as rostered by the NUM. Applicants will need: Flexibility to work a rotational roster Experience in a similar role and a willingness to learn Details of appointment: Permanent part-time, shift worker position, working up to 72 hours per fortnight, from as soon as we can onboard you. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022. You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
