Role Overview:
As a Healthcare Assistant, your role will involve fostering an environment that encourages meaningful engagement, social interaction, and positive emotional well-being for our residents, while also enhancing your own experience and qualifications. You will prioritize our residents' needs, promoting their choice and independence, and dedicating time to build relationships and understand them.
Experience and an NVQ Level 2 qualification are preferred but not required.
Role Expectations:
Deliver care in accordance with best practices and legislative requirements, as directed by the Senior Carer.
Assist residents in maintaining their skills and personal interests while providing individualized, person-centered care.
Keep skills up to date and participate in training and development as needed to enhance knowledge.
Contribute to the smooth operation of the home.
Help residents maintain their relationships and connections within the local community.
Understand the regulatory framework, including the role and requirements of the CQC.
Follow Care Plans and other guidelines for supporting residents.
Report any changes in residents' needs to the Senior Carer.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of the individuals you support.
Build effective working relationships with other employees in the home.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize staff opportunities.
Maintain professionalism, politeness, and reasonableness at all times.
Be knowledgeable about and adhere to the Fundamental Standards.
Attend mandatory training and other training as directed by management.
Understand and comply with all policies and procedures related to the role.
