Job Title: Child and Family Psychologist - Cairns and Cape York region (Aurukun)Practice Information:They are a not-for-profit Aboriginal-owned business with funds to operate a new multi-disciplinary outreach service to Cape York working with Aboriginal children and families. Grant funded.Position Description: Join a multidisciplinary team providing outreach psychology assessment, care planning, and therapeutic interventions across Far North Queensland. Supporting the Director, the position will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team and other senior staff within other organisations. This position will conduct psychological assessments and provide one-to-one psychological support to children and parents as required using an evidence-based therapeutic approach for children affected by trauma or with challenging behaviours or developmental issues.The role will interact with a range of external stakeholders including representatives from schools, referral agencies, and other health professionals, collaborating with academic, government, and contract organisations. Significant engagement with Aboriginal services, communities, and organisations is envisaged. Some out-of-business-hours work will be required.
