Your new role
The purpose of this role is to lead initiatives that address health workforce and service delivery needs in the NT primary health care sector. In partnership with client health services and key stakeholders, the Workforce Consultant is focused on driving strategic projects and initiatives to address key challenges that affect the quality, availability and sustainability of the primary health care workforce.
Developing collaborative partnerships with client health services to deliver quality workforce planning and support activities. Utilising relationship management and stakeholder engagement principles. Managing projects and initiatives within their area of focus to achieve health workforce objectives. Adopting and fostering a strategic approach to address health workforce needs in the NT, through representing the organisation in partnership and collaboration with peak bodies, training organisations and other key stakeholders. Supporting the workforce strategy function in undertaking workforce needs assessment activity and actively participating/leading in the design and delivery of projects to address needs. Training and mentoring of program support staff including capacity building, performance appraisal and compliance with policies and procedures. Application of a comprehensive case management framework for health professionals and health services. Ensure data quality and integrity through effective system management and contributing to system development as appropriate. Work respectfully and inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and people from diverse backgrounds. What you'll need to succeed Degree in HR or other related field such as business, organisational psychology or project management; or relevant, equivalent expertise/experience in areas such as recruitment, talent management or workforce development. Demonstrated expertise in internal and external stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of contemporary recruitment and retention practices. Highly developed interpersonal skills, working across a variety of cultural backgrounds, including strong verbal and written communication and networking abilities. Excellent time-management and organisation skills with demonstrated ability to work across multiple projects/programs. Demonstrated skills in leading projects and/or programs, initiatives with demonstrated success in the management and delivery of projects. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and to partner with other internal functions. Ability to travel within the NT when required. Current NT Driver's License. Current NT Ochre/WWC card. Ability to pass Police Clearance. What you need to do now
