Provide inpatient speech pathology services in the clinical areas of adult speech, language and swallowing.

Deliver quality, evidence-based Speech Pathology clinical services to the patients and their families of the Caboolture-Kilcoy Hospitals within a multidisciplinary team.
This position will provide inpatient speech pathology services in the clinical areas of adult speech, language and swallowing.
Applicants with clinical experience in the area of paediatric feeding will also be well regarded.
To contribute to the advancement of speech pathology and multidisciplinary services within the Caboolture-Kilcoy Hospitals via active involvement in service development, quality improvement, education and research activities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver Speech Pathology clinical services within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with prescribed ethical, professional and work unit standards.
Exercise professional clinical judgement and apply clinical evidence to practice when providing Speech Pathology clinical services of a complex nature where principles, procedures, techniques or methods require expansion, adaptation or modification.
Contribute to effective team dynamics as well as client and stakeholder relationships utilising well developed communication and negotiation skills.
Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and act as a patient advocate.
Support the operation of the speech pathology clinical service by performing the required administrative duties, including recording accurate activity data.
Proportionate to the level of experience, assist in the development and/or review of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work area, using the principles of evidence-based practice.
