Job Description We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Health Services Manager to join our dynamic and supportive clinical team on site at Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre, situated 90kms northeast of Perth.
Part of a significant government contract for HCA, the facility presently houses approximately 200 detainees.
Operating (onsite) clinic hours is currently 0800-2100 7 days a week, with the view to extend to a 24-hour service in early 2025.
HCA's service delivery model reflects primary health care services available in the community and presents an opportunity to make a tangible difference to immigration detainees experiencing a challenging period in their lives.
The Health Services Manager role includes both clinical and administration duties as required and leads a multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 including nurses, doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and administration support staff.
Additionally, this position is supported by HCA's corporate team including Operations, Clinical Governance, and Workforce Management.
Qualifications It is anticipated the successful Health Services Manager candidate will offer:
Current AHPRA registration in Nursing or other relevant clinical profession without conditions A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in a clinical field (Primary Health, ED, public health) Previous experience in healthcare leadership or management roles A strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards of care, and quality improvement methodologies Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program development, and performance management A Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or a related field (desirable) What we offer: Generous allowances that can include accommodation, flights, hire car vehicle, and both a daily food and location allowance A chance to work within a well-respected Australian organization with over 1000 employees, including doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals Competitive remuneration and recognition for your efforts An opportunity to be a part of a close-knit, collaborative team that works well with all stakeholders involved A varied and rewarding career in a unique healthcare environment Whilst this position has traditionally been offered as FIFO Perth, we are open to discussions around which living or travel arrangement best suits you.
