We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's making an impact.

The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager is a key member of the People and Culture (P&C) team, providing expert advice and guidance to WIC leaders and employees on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and employee wellbeing initiatives, with a key focus on psychosocial risk and mental health.

In this recently created role, you will proactively coach, guide and provide supportive advice that drives the application of quality health, safety & wellbeing initiatives and programs throughout WIC.
This includes workplace assessments, incident investigations and risk assessments to name a few.

Leveraging your organisational expertise in health, safety & wellbeing, you will ensure WIC maintains appropriate health and safety controls & continuous improvement initiatives that address physical risks, psychosocial risks, occupational violence risks and biological risks in the workplace.

Well-experienced in a similar role, you will support the delivery of WIC's statutory Health Safety & Wellbeing obligations whilst playing a key role in leading & managing a program focussed on mental wellbeing and psychosocial risk management.

Who we're looking for: Tertiary qualification in a Health & Safety, Psychology or related discipline will be required or extensive operational experience in safety and wellbeing.
Proven knowledge and experience in mental health, vicarious trauma, suicide prevention.
Strong emotional intelligence and resilience.
Experience in psychosocial risk management including continued improvements in how psychosocial risks are investigated and managed.
Experience in the development, evaluation and ongoing maintenance of strategic and operational workplace mental health and wellbeing systems and programs.
