About the Opportunity: We are proud of our culture and employ people across a diverse range of positions and backgrounds and are now seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our committed Team, at our Newbridge facility . This is an exciting opportunity to help drive and work collaboratively within the organisation to manage Work, Health & Safety (WH&S) risks at our Newbridge facility, and from time to time our Ordish Road facility.
About the role: You will be responsible for providing expert support and insights into core Work Health, Safety systems and processes. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this role contributes to the maintenance and enhancement of the organisation's safety and sustainability landscape.
As H&S Officer you will be responsible for: Maintaining effective working relationships and communication with all managers and employees across the organisation. Administering end-to-end processes within H&S services to meet operational, compliance and divisional needs effectively. Contributing to the design and implementation of framework tools, processes that ensure Safety governance across the company. Influencing and advocating for Safety Leadership and Wellbeing. Contributing to the implementation of WHS industry best practices. Ensuring that Bio Gro operates in a manner that is safe, sustainable and compliant with all relevant regulations and standards. Assisting with injury or accident investigations as required. What you will need: Cert IV in Work Health & Safety an advantage. Proven working experience in a similar role is highly desirable. Return to Work Qualifications, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, and ICAM desirable. Proficient within Microsoft Office Suite. Highly developed ability to work in a team environment to collaboratively achieve accurate results. The position will be based in Newbridge, with time-to-time travel to the Ordish facility.
