The Role Reporting to the Head of HSE, the purpose of the Health and Safety Manager – Systems role is to lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the WHS Management System inclusive of consultation, communication and training. This role will involve travel to office locations and sites to engage and liaise with broader Squadron Energy (SQE) teams and relevant stakeholders.
Key responsibilities: Design the WHS Management System architecture, develop a risk-based plan and project manage implementation to ensure risk is managed and compliance with WHS legislation achieved.Develop the functional specification for the WHS Management System platform and work with relevant stakeholders to implement and monitor the platform.Support reporting on WHS incident data.Manage the implementation of specific WHS improvements such as the implementation of the journey management and in vehicle monitoring systems.Participate in and conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.Keep updated with changes in WHS legislation and industry best practices, and advise management on potential impact and required actions.About you You will have:
Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Mental Health First Aider and Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator.Demonstrated experience in health and safety roles, preferably in a business support and corporate setting.Experience in applying WHS legislation, regulations, Codes of Practice for effective management of business risks.Strong organizational and prioritizing skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently.Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.A current Australian driver's licence.What's on Offer In addition to a competitive remuneration package combined with attractive benefits, employees have the opportunity to access training and career development, and workplace flexibility.
