Who we're looking for:As an experienced Safety Manager, you will assist our project teams on a water project!
Getting our people home safely to their families every day is our top priority and your role is vital in influencing Project Managers to achieve health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) excellence. You will be a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and strong technical expertise to:
Steer the development and implementation of HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirements.Undertake audits and inspections.Work closely with senior management to prepare reports.Motivate and educate BMD employees to champion best practice use of our systems.Develop work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans.Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:A qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV).Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and industry requirements.Demonstrated experience in a Safety Management role on civil infrastructure projects.You may also have the following additional desirable skills:Qualifications in training and assessment.Previous experience in water projects.In return, we offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
