Locally, we're making big steps forward with our new state-of-the-art factory at Campbellfield, and we're seeking an experienced Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to build on our strong established safety processes.
The roleThe SHE Manager manages and coordinates all safety, health and environment programs, processes, and activities to maintain a compliant and safe work environment.
This role drives excellence in safety, health, and environment across the site to achieve the best possible safety and sustainability results.
The SHE Manager will develop the local strategy to deliver legal compliance and cultural engagement and ensure execution of our global Standards, as well as assuring the implementation of programs to drive reduction of safety incidents and harmful impact on the environment.
The SHE Manager leads and manages SHE related incidents on site and is a member of the Plant Management Team.
What we're looking forYou will need to be able to demonstrate strong experience in supporting manufacturing operations (preferably food or a similar sector) to develop, implement, and manage HSE initiatives in close collaboration with site colleagues.
We'll be interested to discuss with you how these initiatives became sustainable and in everyday use to make people and processes safer.
You will hold a degree, preferably in Health, Safety, and/or Environment (or a related discipline) and you can demonstrate strong systems literacy in contemporary platforms including SAP, Google, Microsoft Suites, and in a Safety Management portal.
You are able to demonstrate fluency with Australian (and especially Victorian) Health & Safety regulations, and you have experience in working in a global company to implement global programs into local processes.
You can demonstrate an eye for identifying hazards and working to mitigate risk.
You have a highly collaborative approach to working with others to develop solutions, comfort in working with people across many cultures, countries, and timezones, and connecting with people at all levels to implement agreed improvements to our HSE processes.
Finally, you will need to be able to demonstrate the current right to work in Australia, and you will need to be located within commuting range of Campbellfield (Northern Melbourne area); we are not in a position to accept overseas applications with requests for immigration sponsorship.
