About the Position This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role where the HSEQ Advisor will be the direct point of contact for all health, safety, environmental & quality matters for the workshop and construction site(s).
Ensuring that all HSEQ responsibilities are carried out by all personnel including site inspections and risk assessments.
Occasional travel required.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team based in Cairns FNQ.
This role will support our steel fabrication businesses located in Cairns and Townsville, our roofing and transport company, as well as construction projects throughout regional Queensland.
This role will be supporting, promoting, and driving a positive and proactive safety culture through the company's 150 employees.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities but not limited to: Conduct inductions for subcontractors and new employeesConduct HSEQ audits across the businessMaintain HSEQ ISO accreditationAssist with preparation of site-specific HSEQ management plansInvestigate and report upon safety incidentsMonitor and assess the implementation of preventative safety actionsDevelop and communicate HSEQ information for prestart & tool-box meetingsProvide ongoing safety training to all employeesDevelop, review, and implement SWMSProvide advice and direction to Senior Management on HSEQ mattersFacilitate the RTW of employees in conjunction with ManagementAudit and update policies, procedures, and SWMS to ensure that they align with current legislation and codes of practiceProvide specialist guidance and advice to prevent incidents and injuries and achieve WHS goalsDrive continuous improvement of the company's HSEQ processesProvide coaching and support within the teams regarding HSEQ mattersConduct and assist with investigations into incidents or near missesFacilitate the risk assessment processConduct HSEQ training and lead the WHS committee processesDevelop and implement suitable return-to-work plans for injured employeesResearch, formulate, and compile policy and procedure documents including related forms to a quality standardDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout You: CSF Industries is looking for a passionate and proactive HSEQ professional with exceptional relationship-building abilities to join our team.
This position forms an integral part of the operational team for CSF Industries and it requires an individual who can drive HSEQ within the team.
This role will suit an organised self-starter who is confident and capable in all things HSEQ.
Enthusiastic and driven to foster a safe and healthy work environmentAble to work confidently with individuals, teams, and managementAble to negotiate, influence, and implement change within the workplaceDisplay excellent verbal and written communication skillsHave well-developed computer skills within databases and Microsoft SuiteThe successful applicant will have the following: Experience working as a HSEQ Advisor or in a similar positionExperience working in the construction or manufacturing industryA strong understanding of HSEQ legislation and ISO StandardsQualifications equivalent to a Diploma or higher in WHS (desirable)Return to Work experience (desirable)Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence confidently at all levelsOutstanding organisational abilities and a strong sense of urgencyDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterallyAbility to stay calm and focused during situations involving injuries and investigationsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
