We seek a driven and experienced HSE Administrator to support the HSE Manager, Advisors, and wider project team, to ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, facilitate personnel onboarding and induction requirements, maintain accurate safety records, and influence & drive a positive safety culture for the project.
The Project McConnell Dowell and CPB Contractors, along with Design partners Mott McDonald, Arup and Aurecon have been awarded the Tram Grade Separation Projects as an Alliance, comprising of works at three main locations along the Glenelg Tram Line.
The level crossings at Marion Road, Cross Road (MAC) and Morphett Road (MTX) will be replaced by tram overpasses, removing the interface with road traffic and creating new public spaces beneath.
This project will improve network efficiency and safety at their locations for all users.
The Position Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will work closely with the Health, Safety and Environment Team to provide accurate and efficient administrative support and contribute to the safe delivery of the project.
This role will initially be based in the project office Adelaide CBD, relocating to the project site south of Adelaide early 2025.
Key Responsibilities Assist and coordinate the onboarding and project induction processes for all site personnel including subcontractors and visitors and manage onboarding documentation for incoming project personnel.
Maintaining of compliance registers, prestart and other documentation, such as uploading daily attendance lists, risk assessments, site inspection records, weekly inspections, or checklists.
Maintain accurate project HSE records including document management and filing systems.
Assist in the development and coordination of HSE promotion initiatives, activities, and events.
Support the HSE Manager / Senior Advisors with internal and external auditing procedures.
Assist in the preparation of Project and Safety reports.
Assist with development and design of specialty topics for toolbox and pre-start meetings.
Facilitate training and maintain up-to-date and accurate training and qualification records for project personnel.
Skills and Experience Relevant experience in a safety administration role within the civil construction or mining industry Cert IV in WHS or Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent (desirable).
Experience in document compliance procedures and processes and understanding of technology to support HSE systems.
Ability to apply policies, procedures, and applicable legislative requirements to your work.
Ability to accurately administer & maintain a comprehensive database of project related HSE data and prepare it for reporting.
Knowledge of auditing, safety inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processes Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Power BI.
Experience developing and disseminating minutes from meetings.
Strong ability to develop excellent working relationships with all staff.
Able to organise, prioritise and work independently.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
