We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team at Millmerran.
You will support the Health & Safety Manager in coordinating the day-to-day implementation and continuous improvement of our health and safety management systems and ensuring compliance with legislation and corporate standards.
Additionally, you will support permanent contractors in adhering to the Millmerran Health and Safety Management System.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Facilitate workshops, toolbox talks, safety communication forums, and committees.Conduct incident investigations, write reports, and support the implementation of outcomes.Ensure compliance with the Millmerran Safety Management System through audits, reviews, and inspections.Coordinate Workcover Claims and Return to Work plans.Maintain health and safety records using our system.Administer health and safety activities and improvement projects.Mentor and engage field resources to promote best health and safety practices.Support contractor management, including onboarding and risk management reviews.Conduct risk assessments, HazObs, and safety assessments.Provide regular safety updates to internal stakeholders.Develop and review occupational health and safety documentation.Stay updated with health and safety practices.Coordinate training requirements for employees and contractors.Ensure compliance during outage works (night and day shifts).Requirements: Cert 4 in Workplace Health & Safety requiredAt least 2-4 years in OH&S or related fieldGood written and verbal communication, report writing, computer skills (MS applications, especially Excel)Ability to achieve goals within time constraintsLeadership, motivation and project management skillsAbility to build rapport with stakeholders throughout the businessAbility to work in a small team, self-motivated and sound decision-making skillsQualified Trainer and Assessor (TAE40116 or equivalent)Experience with high-risk workplaces or heavy industry environmentsAbility to complete First Aid, Work at Heights, Confined Spaces and White Card accreditationsWhy Join Us?
