Job DescriptionWhat is the role?
Reporting to the HR Manager, the role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs designed to reduce the risk to safety through driving initiatives to ensure targets are identified and met.
What will you do?
Health & Safety Responsibility
Workplace Safety: Implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries, such as proper training, safety equipment, and hazard assessments.Develop and Implement Policies: Design, implement, and review policies and procedures in line with the Company's goals and to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.Conduct Risk Assessments: To identify and mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment, ensuring corrective actions are taken.Training and Education: Provide training and awareness programs for employees, ensuring they are equipped with knowledge and skills to adhere to safety protocols.Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Safety Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities and equipment.Emergency Plans: Maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios (e.g., fire, chemical spill, natural disasters) whilst managing the Company's hazardous materials.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you.
Qualifications: WHS qualifications or experience in a related field.Experience: 1+ years of experience in a similar role.Knowledge: Understanding of HSE regulations, safety standards and audit requirements.Skills: Problem-solving, and organisational skills.
