UNSW has partnered with Zenergy to recruit for the Health & Safety Business Partner roles supporting the Faculty of Science.The RolesHealth & Safety Business Partner - Faculty of ScienceThe role of the Health & Safety Business Partner is to support the Faculty of Science. This faculty is made up of 8 schools which you will support and provide guidance on all matters Health & Safety. This role will include partnering with Senior Management, and Executives to demonstrate visible leadership and enhance safety as a core value.In addition to monitoring and maintaining safety performance, insights, trends and culture you will also lead and coordinate serious incident response and investigations in conjunction with supervisors and H&S reps.Health & Safety Business Partner - Faculty of MedicineThis is the largest faculty at UNSW and most geographically challenging supporting the Kensington Campus, Canberra & Regional hubs. You will have two safety advisors who also support the faculty reporting into you who you will coach and mentor.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance & support for senior executives and management to demonstrate safety leadership.Produce relevant and accurate reports on hazards and significant incidents.Lead and coordinate serious incident response.Ensure faculty senior management regularly discuss safety performance, insights, trends and encourage a positive safety culture.Develop & review Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance.Act as a safety representative for the faculty in leadership meetings as required.Align all safety actions with the university's core values and expectations.Develop practical workable solutions to Health and Safety issues.Implement the safety strategy to the wider team and provide coaching and mentoring where needed.The CandidateTertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety.Developed knowledge of WHS legislation and standards.Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite of applications and ability to use and implement new systems.Ability to set priorities, establish and achieve agreed objectives.Knowledge and experience of ICAM investigations.Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder management experience.Ability to influence and negotiate.Benefits and next stepsIf you are interested in this position, please apply directly with your resume in WORD FORMAT and a brief cover letter outlining your suitability.If you require any further information, please contact Devon Lowe on 1300 333 400.
