We are a purpose-led member organisation striving to create greater value for our members and deliver on our purpose to be "The driving force for a better WA."Join RAC as a Health & Safety Business Partner (Injury Management) to provide support across the RAC Group to ensure effective implementation of a holistic health, safety and wellbeing management system, with a primary focus on injury management and wellness.About the RoleThe role will bring the Health and Safety Policy to life within the business, providing a safe workplace with healthy employees.
Delivering high-quality services based on the key pillars of injury prevention, injury management, wellness, and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesInjury and Illness Management - Coordinating effective handling of employee injuries/illnesses, liaising with stakeholders, and managing workers' compensation and non-work-related cases.Injury Prevention – Develop and implement programs to prevent injuries.Training - Deliver H&S training programs.Collaboration - Work with leaders, HR, and H&S teams to enhance injury management and H&S performance.Assurance – Conduct audit and assurance activities to verify risk controls are in place and effective.System Management - Maintain and analyze the SolvInjury system and report findings.Wellbeing Programs - Design and evaluate sustainable programs to support employees' physical and psychological health.Health & Safety - Conduct risk assessments and participate in incident investigations to improve health and safety performance.Reporting and Strategy - Contribute to health and safety reporting and develop related business cases.What you'll bringTertiary qualification in Allied Health, or equivalent is mandatory.Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is desirable.Over 10 years of operational experience in Injury Management and Injury Prevention.In-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience implementing return to work programs under relevant legislation, including the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 (WA).A natural ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels; from Executives to frontline workers.Demonstrated understanding and application of Work Health and Safety legislation and associated Codes of Practice.Demonstrated experience facilitating injury prevention initiatives.Experience undertaking H&S risk assessments, assurance activities, and incident investigations.Valid Driver's license.Ability to travel between RAC sites.What can we offer you?A workplace culture where our people feel valued, respected, and empowered.Work in flexible ways that meet work/life commitments and support wellbeing.Be part of a purpose-led organisation that gives back to the WA community.An environment that values ongoing career development.Free Roadside Assistance and discounts on RAC products and services including Insurance, Holiday Parks and Resorts, Security, Finance, and Auto Services.Opportunities for community engagement and corporate volunteering.Apply now with a CV showcasing what you can bring to the role.Applications Close Sunday 19th January 2025.We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as RAC reserves the right to close this vacancy without notice.
