Queensland Rail have an exciting new opportunity for a Health & Safety Business Partner to join our Regional Safety Risk & Assurance Team based in Toowoomba.
Benefits that Count Competitive salary - $113,000 Permanent Full time position  Travel on paid work time including expenses Generous super and training programs Holistic health and wellbeing programs As the Health & Safety Business Partner in this role, you'll be instrumental in collaborating with the Regional Team to ensure top-tier health and safety risk management across a wide geographical area spanning across our Queensland Rail Network. Your primary objectives will include fostering a culture of safety excellence and enhancing work engagement throughout the region.
 
 
We are particularly interested if you have experience and capability with Risk Management, Contemporary Health and Safety advisory services,, Incident Investigations as well a large collaboration to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for: Provide competent risk focused health and safety advice; including facilitating risk management processes which encompass the development and monitoring of controls and treatment programs. Build relationships to become a trusted business partner, coach, and/or guide to operational leaders and workers on all areas of health and safety, whilst aligning to strategic/organisational goals and outcomes. Facilitate the development of issue specific and systemic treatment strategies and programs for the management of health and safety risk, including participation in special projects to achieve compliance with legislation and best practice in safety. Stay informed of contemporary health and safety information, trends, and methodologies whilst fostering a supportive culture. This role will be ideal for people who: Substantial level of skill in facilitating risk management encompassing the development and monitoring of controls and treatment programs associated with the disciplines of health and safety. Substantial level of interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain relationships, build trust and an inclusive network supportive to the role of health and safety management and delivery health and safety content. Substantial level of investigation, analysis and problem solving skills relating to the efficiency of systems, controls and practices. Substantial level of skill in working independently and managing multiple priorities with varying degrees of risk whilst adapting to changing conditions.
