What You'll Do: As our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Manager, you will be YWCA's go-to expert in safety, playing a crucial role in cultivating a strong safety culture and promoting a supportive, inclusive work environment.
You'll collaborate closely with our leadership team to ensure our safety systems are aligned with best practices.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing health, safety and wellbeing support to the organisation, partnering with leaders to provide expert advice on incidents, injury management, return to work, hazard management, and team member wellbeing.
Leading and managing Health, Safety and Wellbeing projects, advancing our safe, positive, and inclusive culture.
Fostering a constructive safety culture, championing our values, and promoting employee engagement in safety.
Ensuring that our Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and practices are up-to-date, compliant, and reflective of best practices.
Who You Are: We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who is enthusiastic about fostering a positive and safe workplace culture.
You will have: Demonstrated experience in health, safety and wellbeing roles, with a strong understanding of safety systems, risk assessments, incident investigation, and worker injury management in a human services organisation.
Proven ability to provide health, safety and wellbeing guidance and support to leaders on a range of matters.
Work Cover Accredited Return to Work Coordinator.
Experience in project managing organisational change initiatives and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Proficiency in preparing reports and business cases using people metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and improve processes.
Demonstrated passion for Women's Rights, social change and contributing to an organisation that advocates for equality through influencing and pushing boundaries.
Successful candidates will need to complete the following pre-employment requirements: National Criminal History Check.
Valid State-Based Working with Children Permit.
